RxDX Joins Officials - Major Park Improvement Project in Robstown

Major Park Improvement Project in Robstown

RxDx was honored to join the Nueces County Commissioner’s Court and the City of Robstown today for the groundbreaking ceremony of a significant park improvement project in Precinct 3. The event, led by Commissioner John Marez (Precinct 3), marked the official start of a vital investment into the community’s recreational infrastructure.

A Vision for Enhanced Community Assets

This project is far more than a simple upgrade; it represents a major commitment to quality of life in Robstown. Commissioner Marez highlighted that the funding for this work was specially allocated to bring about significant, long-term changes to the existing park.

The planned improvements are extensive and include:

  • New Lighting: Desperately needed upgrades to lighting for safety and extended evening use.

  • Walking Trail Rehabilitation: Fixing up the path used daily by countless community members.

  • New Pickleball Courts: Dedicating part of the existing tennis courts to create new pickleball courts, offering a free, local option for the popular, addictive sport.

The project is also set to officially highlight and honor the late Judge Joaquin Villarreal III, a beloved figure in the community, reflecting a commitment to local history and service.

RxDx is proud to be the construction partner making this community vision a reality. Commissioner Marez specifically recognized the dedication and work ethic of our team:

RxDx has truly made a name for themselves and done a lot of work... David, we appreciate your work here and your team for the work that you’ve been doing for Nueces County. And so, thanks for helping out, and we look forward to you making this project happen soon.”

A Unified Community Effort

The groundbreaking showcased incredible local support, with attendance from several key figures, including:

  • Commissioner Brent Chesney (Precinct 4)

  • Commissioner Mike Pusley (Precinct 1)

  • Commissioner Joe A. Gonzalez (Precinct 2)

  • Robstown Mayor David Martinez

  • Staff for Representative Denise Villalobos (District 34)

  • Representatives from the School Board and Drainage District 2

The presence of the local Little Miss Kickball Pony League representatives underscored who the project will ultimately serve: the community leagues and families who rely on these facilities.

RxDx congratulates Commissioner Marez and the entire Commissioner’s Court on kicking off this fantastic project. We are ready to execute quickly and deliver a beautiful, functional asset to the residents of Robstown!
